Saintfield Horse Show Galloping Closer

AS the Saintfield Horse Show approaches, organisers are making the final preparations for what will be a another great event.

Mivan, one of Northern Ireland’s best known specialist construction companies, is once again the major sponsor of the forthcoming Saintfield Horse Show being held on Saturday 1 September 2012 by kind permission of Mr Jim Prentice at Oughley Road,  Saintfield.

Joan Cunningham,  Showjumping Director of the Saintfield Horse Show, said: “We are once again delighted to welcome Mivan as our Title Sponsor. The Company is renowned at home and abroad for its excellence.”

The International Contractor has an ongoing local residential development in Ardnavalley, Comber. Proceeds from the Horse Show will go to Urgent Humanitarian Aid in Africa and other Local Charities.

Dr. Ivan McCabrey, Chief Executive of Mivan, said” “Mivan is delighted to be Sponsoring Saintfield Horse Show once again. We have worked alongside Joan for a number of years now and it’s obvious the Show is fast becoming one of the most popular Shows in Northern Ireland. Joan and her team work very hard to make sure the show runs like clockwork.”

Joan added: “The Saintfield Horse Show will include  horse and pony show jumping with courses designed by international course designer Raymond Jess.  There will also be competitions for Working Hunter classes with courses designed by David McClurg, Ridden Ponies, In-Hand Showing, Lead Rein, Ridden Hunters, Happy Hackers, Miniature Horses, Shetland Ponies and Donkeys. If you haven’t got a pony why not bring along your dog?   There will be pet dog classes and lots of amusements for the children with bouncy castles and quads etc.

“Some of the highlights of the day will be the Donkey Derby with £1,000 to the winners choice of charity taking place at 2.30pm. In the Mivan Ardnavalley Marquee we have Saintfield’s Got Talent which is open to everyone with £500 going to the winners choice of Charity. And there will be lots more other prizes to be won… this takes place at 3.00pm. New this year  is the Most Appropriately dressed Lady Competition.”
