RGU Club Notes For 3/2/2014

The RGU schools programme continues with the P5’s on Monday and the P6’s and P7’s on Thursday and Friday respectively. Just return your school permission slip as soon as possible, all free of charge. All welcome, don’t worry if you miss the first week you can attend at any time writes John Murphy

So don’t miss out, the schools have sent out permision slips and flyers to all eligible children. If you haven’t received a letter please contact Mr Artherton at St Brigid’s, Mr Murray at St Colmcille’s and Mr Kelly at Our Lady & St Patrick’s for further information. Everyone is welcome, so come along and enjoy the fun of gaelic football all free of charge. Runs for the next 8 weeks, it’s an opportunity not to  be missed!dn_screen

Annual Presentation will be held in Denvirs Hotel on Saturday 8 Feb. Tickets available from Gerdie Collins , Peter Turley or Collie Quinn. £15

Last chance for Down County Draw tickets. £10 per month with up to 70-80% going back into the club which is sorely needed. This is one of the biggest fundraisers the club has and we need to increase our sales of tickets. Several big winners were from Downpatrick last year. It would be great if every family connected to the club could buy or share in a ticket. Contact Marty Brady, 07866090065, or any member of the Executive for details.

Juvenile Girls have started back at Ballymote on Sat at 11.30am, U6’s, P1’s & P2’s, are back at the usual time of 10.30am. Don’t forget everyone to bring your pounds and mouthguards for each session.

The U10’s, P5 & P6’s, continue on Sat, training will be at 11.30am on the bottom pitch (entry by bottom gate). Kids will need £1, a mouthguard and a drink.

There will be an U14 player/parent meeting on Thur 6 February at 7pm in the club, all players are requested to attend. Training will start on Sun 9 February at 11am.

There will be a dentist from Mullan Gallagher coming to the club on Sunday 9 February at 2pm to take orders for mouthguards. All player juvenile and senior have to wear mouthguards this year, all welcome to come down and see the dentist.

Membership forms will be given out for each team as they start. You will not be able to train if you are not a registered member; membership is only £25 each with discounts for 2 or more children. U6 membership is only £5.

Down Year Book on sale in McCartan Sports, plenty of photos and articles on RGU and local schools. Also available in store are essentials for 2014 such as mouthguards, gloves and loads of RGU merchandise.

Jackpot not won. 3 share £100. Numbers 2, 7, 8, 24. Next weeks jackpot  is £3700.
