As a result of a media appeal earlier this week about an assault in Newcastle in July, a man has presented himself to police and is assisting detectives with their inquiries.
The photo appeal is no longer needed, however, anyone with information about the assault at Down Road/Beach Avenue on 20 July is still urged to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
