th baby in the Downe Midwifery Led Unit. Zoe Boreland, Lead Midwife said, “We are delighted to have the 100th birth in the Downe Midwifery Led Unit especially on the day the new maternity strategy was launched. This has been a great achievement for the unit less than half way through the second year. We have received so many letters of support and positive feedback from all of the women who have chosen to give birth with us”. She added, “We are very confident our numbers will continue to grow steadily over the coming months. Once again we would encourage all mothers including first time mums to consider using the unit not just for the birth but for local antenatal care as well, we welcome all enquiries or visits to the unit”. THE South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust is delighted to announce the birth of the 100th baby in the Downe Midwifery Led Unit.
