The highly sought after Side Dish accolade highlighted the exceptional standard of the Cranberry, Apricot and Orange Stuffing provided by TS Foods to one of their many supermarket customers, Aldi, for their popular Specially Selected range.

For the last 34 years TS Foods has been specialising in frozen and chilled products for the retail and foodservice industry throughout UK and Ireland, employing over 70 employees in its extensive facility in the heart of Castlewellan.

ts pastiesCommercial Director Joanne Molloy said: “We’re delighted that our stuffing and business are receiving recognition at the very highest level within the food retailing industry in Ireland.

“Seeing the scale of the competition and knowing the rigorous standards by which the entries are judged, we are honoured to have been selected as the winners for this award.

“We’ve been working with Aldi for 10 years and this is a strong endorsement for the work we are doing for them. We take great pride in ensuring the highest quality in all our products, so to have this recognised at the Irish Food Quality Awards is hugely important to us.”

The family-owned business has recently invested £600,000 into its production facilities and expanded its workforce to facilitate growing demand from super-brands such as Tesco, Asda, Morrisson’s and Sainsbury’s, as well as a number of key food service providers.

Joanne Molloy, who is also the daughter of the company’s founders, added: “As we gear up to increase our sales efforts across the UK and Ireland, this award gives us even more confidence to communicate the quality of all our products, from the Stuffing Company to Tony’s Chippy.

“We owe our success to our dedicated employees and loyal customers so we extend our thanks to them for their continued support over the years which has helped us accomplish this huge achievement.

“We look forward to expanding our business even further in early 2016 and can’t wait to see what future successes lie in store.”
