The Seniors played An Riocht in the quarter finals of the Intermediate Football Championship at Pairc Esler last Monday night but were on the wrong end of a 3-15 to 1-14 scoreline writes Eugene O’Boyle. The scorers were Danny McKay 0-1, Conor Morgan 0-4, John Clarke 0-3 (0-2f), Chris McKay 1-3, Harry McMullan 0-1 and Marty Keenan 0-2. They are scheduled to play their final ACFL Division 2 league game at home to Darragh Cross on Saturday 3 October.
The Reserves will play Darragh Cross on Friday 25 September at 6.30pm under lights in Newcastle in the final of the East Down Reserve Football League Shield.
The Under 16’s play Darragh Cross in the final of the East Down Under 16B Championship in Ballykinlar at 11.00am on Saturday morning. Please come alone and give the squad your support. There is a bus leaving the clubrooms at 10.00am sharp and cost is £2 per person for all supporters wishing to come along.

The Under 8’s training will now be moving inside into the sports hall and the provisional start date is Friday 2 October from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and every Friday at 6.30pm thereafter through autumn. Check out the club website and Facebook for details in the coming days.

Pep Keenan is now taking last orders for Christmas club gear including Squad Tops, Skinny Bottoms, Training Tops and now also Hoodies. Pep will be at the club on Wednesday evening to take the orders from 7.00pm – 8.00pm and all gear must be paid for at time of ordering. The deadline for ordering is the end of September as this will be the final order submitted to the supplier before Christmas so get your order in now.
