THE hunt is on for social work champions across Northern Ireland.
The Regional Social Work Awards, now in their second year, are about recognising the best work in the profession, raising awareness of the challenging and diverse work that goes on and improving the reputation of social workers.
There are six awards – four team awards and two individual awards from which an overall winner will be selected at a celebratory lunch in Belfast City Hall next June.
All five thousand social workers practicing in Northern Ireland are eligible to enter whether they work with children or adults, in education, or for a Trust, a charity, voluntary or private sector organisation.
The information pack and entry forms are available from the NI Social Care Council website and entries close on Friday 20th January, 2012.
