DOWN District Community Safety Partnership has opened its first round of funding for 2011/12.
Constituted community groups within the Down District Council area are invited to apply for small grant funding up to a maximum of £1,000 for the delivery of community safety initiatives which address local community safety issues and have an impact on reducing anti-social behaviour, crime or fear of crime.
Previous projects supported through the small grants programme include Midnight Football, drama projects, educational and environmental programmes and projects in relation to drugs and alcohol.
The Community Safety Partnership will host an information evening at 7pm on Thursday 21st April at Down County Museum, Downpatrick to provide interested groups with an opportunity to learn more about funding available through the Partnership.
Application forms can be downloaded from the Community Safety section of the Down District Council website at www.downdc.gov.uk, or by contacting Priscilla McAlinden on 028 4461 0800 or by email to [email protected].
