GOOD start for the New Year with the Damian and Peter Turley having been selected for the Down McKenna Cup squad along with Declan Turley, Anthony Doherty and Conor McGrady making the Down U-21 squad. Well done guys!

There will be a meeting on Thursday 16 Jan at 7.30pm for anyone interested in helping out with our juvenile teams. We need people to help with coaching, team mentors, transport, mini-bus drivers, first aiders/physios, catering, tournament organising, fundraising and many more. Helping our teams is not just restricted to managing them on the pitch, there are a whole range of jobs which need doing. The more people helping the more we can do for our footballers, boys and girls. So if you are interested in helping out come along on Thur 16th in the clubhouse.

dn_screenRGU will starting an exciting new gaelic coaching programme in our three local feeder schools this term. Funding has been secured from SportNI and will involve pupils from p5-p7, using a range of venues around Downpatrick. More details next week or on our Facebook page.

Congratulations to ex-RGU Ladies players, Eilis McConville and Michaela Duffy who married their respective partners Jonathan Gannon and Tom Lane on Saturday past. Also best wishes to Ronan Foy and Martina McAlinden who tied the knot last week. Everyone at PTR wishes you all every health and happiness in the years ahead together.

The Down GAA 2013 yearbook now on sale in McCartan Sports. Plenty of photos and articles on RGU. Great record of the year in Down gaelic games for club, county and schools.

The RGU kit is on sale at McCartan Sports. Hoodies, Storm Wind-cheaters, beenies, Jerseys and Polo Shirts.

Jackpot not won. 1 person wins £100. Numbers are 21, 24, 25, 28. Next week’s jackpot is £3300.
