Our U-12’s and Over-35’s were both successful as they lifted trophies in St John’s and An Riocht. Our Senior team capped a fine season in the league with a victory over Loughinisland which confirmed a top six finish for them writes John Murphy.Kyla Trainor and Orla Boyle performed heroics in the Red and Black as Down Ladies won their way to an All-Ireland Final.

And finally the Fundraising Committee really came up trumps with the Summer Festival… from the juvenile disco, magic show, reptile show, Johnny Brooks, the Wolfe Tones to RGU Down Through The Ages it has all been a great success.

On all fronts it was a lot of hard work which made this weekend’s events happen and everyone should be proud of their endeavors. Well done!

Another busy weekend coming up with Championship quarter finals at the club. First up on Friday night under the lights is St Pauls v Killyleagh followed by Dromara v Kilclief in the Junior Championship.
