Jubilation at PTR on Sunday afternoon as the U-14 Girls reach the Championship final with a thoroughly deserving win over Saval in the semi final. Playing against the wind in the second half with a 4point lead the girls never stopped with some terrific performances across the field. A last gasp goal from Saval wasn’t enough to dent the girl’s display as they ran out winners on a scoreline of RGU 3-07, Saval 2-08. The girls have worked hard all season and after a string of narrow losses in the league they have finally found their rhythm and started to turn the tables on their opponents. Well done girls, a great final to look forward to in a few weeks time!

The U-12 Boys travelled out to Saul on Sunday morning in the penultimate round of the summer league. After an end to end battle the boys had pulled back a 4 point deficit as the match entered the last minute. A defensive mix-up gave away a sloppy goal and Saul tacked on a pt from a free in the dying seconds to run our winners by 4. Final score Saul 2-09, RGU 3-02.

The Over-35’s are starting to rival the U-12 Girls as they win the Shield against the ‘Fin after extra time in Annesborough this afternoon. Well done guys and hope the legs are not too sore in the morning!

The U-8’s attended the last Go Games of the season in a monster blitz held at Drumaness with 12 teams in attendance. Two teams were fielded and they both performed admirably winning all their matches. Well done guys. Another few weeks to go with the end of year tournament at Pairc Esler still to come.
