Murlough Community Association Welcomes New Tenants To Burrendale
MURLOUGH Community Association has launched a Welcome Pack which will be issued to all new tenants moving into the Burrendale estate.
The Welcome Pack not only provides information on the activities of the local Community Association, it also contains telephone numbers of local agencies providing services in the area, and gives advice on a range of issues including community safety. Copies of the pack have also been delivered to existing residents for their information and benefit.
Shane McClelland, Chairperson of Murlough Community Association said, “On behalf of Murlough Community Association, I am delighted to be launching this Welcome Pack.
The Community Association has put a lot of time and effort into producing this publication and I would like to thank them all for their commitment. I also wish to thank the Housing Executive for its assistance with the development of the Welcome Pack.”
In welcoming this community Initiative, local Housing Executive Manager Aidan Brannigan paid tribute to the work of the Murlough Community Association which has worked tirelessly in addressing housing, environmental and community safety issues in the area.
“The Housing Executive places great value on the contribution of community groups through our Housing Community Network,” said Aidan.
“The idea for this Welcome Pack came from the community group following a comprehensive neighbourhood renewal survey that was carried out by the Housing Executive’s Research Unit.
“I wish the community well with this initiative and can assure them of our continued support in future projects,” he added.
