More Housing Executive Tenants Report Their Repairs Online

The Housing Executive now provides an online service for its tenants to report urgent or routine repairs. In the last three months over 1,500 repairs were dn_screenreported using the service.

Lorraine Campbell, the Housing Executive’s Regional Manager for the South explained: “We want to provide a first class repairs service for our tenants and to make it as easy as possible for them to report their repairs to us.  Going through our website at:

www.nihe.gov.uk

“Tenants can now report their urgent or routine repairs online from the convenience of their home, 24/7.

“When a repair is reported online, tenants will receive an automated text or email message at various stages throughout the journey of the repair.  This means they will know exactly what the position is about their repair request, including acknowledgement that the repair request has been received; confirmation that the repair request has been issued to the contractor; notification that the repair has been completed ; or if the repair has been cancelled.

“Tenants can also help us get their repairs completed efficiently by giving as much information as possible regarding the nature and extent of the repair, whether it has led to other damage in their home and provide contact details to ensure our contractor can get in to carry out the work.

“Tenants can, of course, continue to report a repair by phoning 03448 920 901 (including emergencies outside office hours). Tenants can also call or write to their local office to report a repair.”

Emergency repair requests should continue to be reported by telephoning us on our 24-hour emergency repairs line 03448 920 901.
