THE Mourne Mountain Rescue Team has a callout on Tuesday (4 June) at approximately 9pm.
The team responded immediately along with NIAS and South Down Coastguard, locating and stabilising the casualty. When stable, the casualty was then immobilised and evacuated by stretcher to nearby road access and awaiting ambulance for onward transfer to the Royal Hospital, Belfast.
The Irish rescue helicopter 116 from Dublin was also in attendance. A total of 14 team members responded and were stood down at 11.30pm.
