MB McGrady Hosting Charity Night At Eclipse

Opening Night for Festive Fundraising by M.B. McGrady & Co Chartered Accountants.

M.B. McGrady & Co, one of the largest and most-respected independent accountancy practices in Northern Ireland, is getting festive in an effort to raise vital funds for local charity – Cancer Fund for Children – in the lead-up to the Christmas period.

With offices in Belfast, Downpatrick and Newtownards, M.B. McGrady & Co. is calling upon staff, clients, family and friends to join them on Monday 27th November for an exclusive screening of the much-loved, festive film ‘Love Actually’ at Eclipse Cinema, Downpatrick, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Intent on raising a significant sum for its charity of the year in 2016 / 2017, M. B. McGrady & Co. hope that this festive film screening will bring their fundraising total to over £4,000, following a series of various fundraising initiatives over the past 18 months.

Commenting ahead of its charity cinema evening, Conaill McGrady, Director at M.B. McGrady & Co added: “Love Actually was chosen as the film of choice by our team, who voted it as one of their all-time favourite Christmas movies. We’re hoping that by holding our charity evening at Downpatrick cinema at the end of November, that this event will start the countdown to Christmas.

“Our previous charity cinema screening raised over £1,000 in 2016 and this year, we’re hoping to surpass this amount by encouraging our clients, family, friends and those from the local community to come along and enjoy the event.”

Connail added: “Over the past 18 months, our team, from all three offices, are thrilled to have played a role in fundraising, that will ultimately help families from across Northern Ireland to avail of the excellent services that the Cancer Fund for Children provides.”

M.B. McGrady & Co. Chartered Accountants has held many fundraising activities over the past two years including coffee mornings, raffles and bucket collections, whilst staff have also taken part in personal challenges.  All money raised by the Chartered Accountants will go directly to the Cancer Fund For Children.

Providing practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people aged 0 to 24 affected by cancer & their families, Cancer Fund for Children relies heavily on donations from the public and business communities in Northern Ireland to provide a range of vital services.
