Karen McVeigh, Manager at Lowden Guitars at the Down Business Centre, has once again made a fantastic gingerbread Christmas cake for Christmas for a free charity draw. It is a work if art and certainly took many hours to make Santa and his sledge and  the huskies.

This year she has selected the Northern Ireland Husky Haven as her charity.

Karen said: “We got a husky over a year ago and I have just fallen in love with them. They are big strong dogs and need proper care and exercise. I have taken in unwanted dogs that other people could not cope with and they are just adorable. I have six in total now. Many thanks to the Husky Haven for their excellent work.

“The draw is free but all donations to the NI Husky Haven will be must gratefully accepted. You can view the cake at the Mange Tout restaurant in the Business Centre and make your entry.”
