Islandderry Producing Some Good Catches

THE lakes at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore are still fishing well to Daddies, Bloodworm and Buzzers with alot of good sized trout still being caught on the main lake.  Neville Gibson, Dromore, landed some nice trout on Nymphs weighing over 10lbs while Garerth Strain,Waringstown,  landed 14 trout using a Montana with a nice blue trout weighing in at 7lb.  Colin Simpson, Lisburn, released 16 fish fishing Daddies while boat partner Jamie Shaw, Dunmurray, released 12, his best weighing in at 8lbs 8oz, also fishing Daddies.

The next competition at the fishery will be the Robert Watson Memorial Shield on Saturday 1st October at 10am.  Prizes for heaviest bag of 3 trout.  Both lakes will be open for this (fly fishing only).  All welcome!
