Second place went to Lisburn angler Barry McKibben who proved that you don’t have to be a expert to get placed in a competiton as this was only Barrys’ second time fly fishing!  Barry bagged up three  trout for 11lbs 15oz.  Third place went to Clive Fleming, Lurgan with three  fish for 11lbs 4oz and Liam Brunty, Belfast went home with fourthplace with a three fish bag weight of 10lbs 9oz.

An excellant day was had with a great turnout, plenty of fish, food, prizes and laughs!  Islandderry would like to give a big thank you to Heather McQuaide, Fiona McFadden and Grace Watson for the good food and to all who donated prizes and supported the event.

The Fishery has a few competitons planed for the coming months with the start of this years Winter League on 26 October and the Brunty Memorial sponsored competition in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on 16 November.  All the competitons are open to everyone no matter what level of expertise.
