Islandderry Fishing Despite Bright Conditions
More Storms Ahead For Dundrum Sea Wall July 18, 2011| Posted by | Comment on More Storms Ahead For Dundrum Sea Wall Comment

ALTHOUGH the weather has been very bright and sunny, not great fishing weather, both lakes at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore, are still seeing a good number of trout being caught.

Local angler Mark Bush landed around 10 trout, and lost near the same again on the Main Lake on Thursday past  using Buzzers on a floating line while in the Hollow Springs lake Jonathon Turner and Johnny Alexander, Lurgan, released 30 trout between them also on  Buzzers.

Gareth Strain, Waringstown, released 10 trout on the Main Lake on Nymphs and Raymondas Biudsukis, Hillsborough, released 14 trout on the  Main Lake using Bloodworm and Cats Whiskers.  Andy McCandless of Dromore landed eight trout on the lakes on Saturday fishing Buzzers on a floating line.  The fishery will be holding a casting and fishing session with Gary Bell AAPGAI, GAIA, APGAI-Ireland on Saturday 23rd July at a price of £20 which will include a hours tuition from Gary and a days catch and release fishing at Islandderry. Gary will be on hand all day to give tips and advice on casting, methods, and the best flys to use.

Anglers of all levels of  experience are welcome for this, with lots of useful tips for both the beginner and the more experianced angler. Gary will be at the Fishery from 10am.
