POLICE in Downpatrick are appealing for information following an incident at a house in the Strangford Road area.

Around 2.30am on Thursday (17th February), three men and one woman forced entry to the rear of a house. A woman occupant in the house confronted them.

One male had a screwdriver in his possession and the intruders demanded her car keys but made off empty handed.

The female intruder is described as having long, dark hair, dark eyes and was wearing a black coat. The first male is described as being approximately 19 years old and was wearing gloves and a grey hoody. He was holding a screwdriver with a yellow handle. The second male is described as being in his late teens and was wearing a red hoody and a scarf over his face. The third male was wearing a hoody and also had a scarf over his face.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have noticed these people in the area or has any information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
