U-10s had a good mornings football as they fielded two teams in the East Down Blitzes at PTR and Teconnaught on Sat. U-10 Blitzes will be held every two weeks. All Juveniles are reminded that mouthguards are mandatory in all training sessions and matches. If you don’t wear one you will not be allowed to play. Gaelic4Girls will be starting on Sat 20 April 11.30-12.30pm. All girls aged 8-13 who have not played gaelic football before in Downpatrick and surrounding areas will be able to participate in this initiative run by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. Contact Jenny on 07568087823 or Brenda on 07711223477 for details or just come down on sat morning, all welcome. Gaelic4Mothers & Others will start up again on Monday 22 April, we need at least 13-15 people to make this work.  There is a full 8- week fitness programme organised with people from outside the club to come in, so really need numbers to make this a success. We will also be starting to do some basic football skills this year. So come along and join in, social life is also good. Contact Kyla on 07835632048 Juvenile Girls are having a fundraising Pamper Evening on Friday 3 May down in the club. Parents and helpers are required for an evening of nails, hair, sparkles and music. A meeting will be held in club on Tue 23rd April to make plans. All help is very much appreciated and the Juvenile Girls Mentors hope to see you there. County star Kevin McKernan will be travelling around all the clubs in Down taking a penalty kick in each in aid of Brain Tumour research. He is due in RGU next Saturday at 1pm so we would like as many members, juvenile and senior, friends and family to come down and contribute to this worthy cause.
