Councillor Billy Walker Makes An Election Address

Dear Electorate,

re : Election on 22 May 201

On 22 May you will be going to the polls to elect five Councillors for the Rowallane area for the Shadow Council election as Down District Council merges with Newry and Mourn Council.

As a sitting DUP Councillor for the last nine years I am once again asking for your support in these very important elections to this new Newry Mourne and Down Council. Over the last nine years I have given the good people of Rowallane my 100% commitment and if re-elected will once again give you my full support.dn_screen

Over the years I have been working tirelessly for the Rowallane area on the bread and butter issues such as Planning, Social Housing, Benefits and helping secure the recent new jobs at Finnebrogue. Over the last nine years I have the highest attendance record in Council out of all the Rowallane Councillors. I work for Jim Shannon MP dealing with the day to day issues that affect everyone.

I also run my own advice office in Killyleagh each Wednesday the only Councillor to do so.

I have an exemplary attendance record at Community Groups that operate within the Rowallane area. These include the newly formed Killyleagh Community Association, Shrigley Community Association, Saintfield Development Association and Crossgar Community Association. I also attend all inter-agency meetings within the Rowallane area and I am sorry to say that can’t be said of other Councillors.

Also, I am currently fighting to enhance services at the Downe Hospital which also includes the reinstatement of 24-hour A&E cover seven days a week. What the good people of Rowallane need is a strong voice, a team player within a political party, a politician not frightened to fight your corner irrespective of colour or creed and someone who is there fighting the issues seven days a week, 365 days of the year, not just at election time.

I believe that person is me…  so on 22 May  Vote WALKER 1

Yours,

Cllr Billy Walker.
