Posted by Jim Masson On September - 7 - 2010
BELFAST-born singer Peter Corry has stepped back from the footlights to direct another Belfast native, comedian Nuala McKeever, in the hit musical comedy, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change which will be performed in the Lodge Cultural Centre, Castlewellan at 8pm on Friday 10 September…
The second longest-running off-Broadway musical, numerous productions of the musical have been staged throughout the world since its New York premiere in 1996. The show pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, and looks at issues surrounding being single, dating and being married and all of the happiness and heartbreak in between as it explores the joys of dating, romance, lovers, wives, husbands and even the in-laws!
Nuala McKeever, right, in action with Kelly Brown in 'I love you, you're perfect, now change'.
Nuala McKeever first came to public attention with the Hole In The Wall Gang, playing Emer in the first two series of their award-winning television comedy – ‘Give My Head Peace’. Nuala’s own TV show, McKeever, on UTV, resulted in the creation of a range of comedy characters that fast became household names, from social snob, Hillary Hamilton of Holywood to the sharp-tongued Mickey’s Ma.
With the multi-talented Nuala McKeever and Kelly Brown in starring roles, this Broadway smash-hit musical will tell you all you need to know about relationships!
