Calling All Men aged 18+ For Down District Men's Forum

DOWN District Men’s Forum have organised a launch event for all men aged 18+ in the Down District area to come along and find out what they do.

David Tumilty, Chair of Down District Men’s Forum, said,  “This is an opportunity for men to see what we have on offer. It is also an opportunity for men to highlight some of the things they would like to see happening locally, for their own benefit.  It is vitally important that men let us know what they want in order for us to provide activities they will be interested in and that they will attend. This is a great opportunity for men to have a say in what happens”.

The launch event will take place on Wednesday 26thJanuary 7.15pm- 9:00pm in the South Eastern Regional College, Market Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6ND [caption id="attachment_19180" align="alignleft" width="400" caption="Looking forward to the coming meeting are Niamh Wallace, Downpatrick Surestart, Jenny Laverty, Flying Horse Community Forum,, Jim Darragh, Mindwise, Lorraine Girvan, South Eastern Regional College, Paula Nixon, East Down Rural Community Network, David Tumilty, South Eastern Health Trust, and Carol Boyd, Action Mental Health."][/caption] The Men’s Forum hope to work in partnership, identify needs and issues faced by local men, share relevant information and resources, initiate practical actions for men, raise the profile of men’s issues and make recommendations for the future of this work.
