Bryansford GAC Notes

The members night on Saturday was a great success with everyone enjoying the hospitality offered to them. A lot of happy members left with nice prizes including Malachy Morgan winning a night in the Slieve Donard Joan Burden representing NI Cancer foundation won a night in The Burrendale but quickly informed everyone the Charity would reuse the prize. The Chairman and Francie McKibbin each won a bag of Underage Club Gear while selector Benny Corrigan won a year supply of washing powder!! Thanks to all the members in attendance the sub committee for organising and also the sponsors of the prizes writes Ronan McVeigh.

The senior team beat Burren in the SFC to top their group and now wait the draw for next weeks 1/4 final opponents.

The U16 boys overcame An Riocht in the FC while the thirds beat Carryduff in the league where Gee Morgan out whitted former Castlewellan player Conor O’Neill!

The U10 team ( all current P6&7 pupils) have a tournament in Banbridge this Saturday – all parents to ring Ronan McVeigh 07500 932464 on Friday for confirmation of leaving time. The U8 team will be in Dundrum – again parents to contact Marty McKibbin for info.

Thanks to all matchday volunteers of late for their help also the workers around the club – invaluable help always available!! The under 6’s attended a blitz at Castlewellan on Saturday 31//08/2013. They played against Castlewellan and Dundrum. All the boys and girls played great football and show great talent for the future. The team included Hugo Burns, Sean Og Brannigan, Karim Jaidine, Lewis Mc Crickard, Oisin Murray, Connie Cunningham, Mark Knight, Chilean Doyle, Noah Sheridan, Lily Faulkner, Ruby Fitzpatrick, Keelan Kearney, Max Burns, Conor Williams, and Cormac Polly.
