Bright GAC Notes

*   Seniors had a good win over Aghaderg on Sunday to progress to the semi finals of this year’s championship. The back line of Philly McGarry, Francis Gerard McKinney and Dee Sharvin had a consistently strong game to keep the opposition at bay. Kieran Fitzsimons had a great game getting the ball up field to Pearse McCarthy and BJ McMenamin who took every opportunity to score. A solid team performance throughout ensured a worthy win. Well done to all involved.

*   U-16 Cillbreactain had a hard fought win over the RGU last week and came out deserved winners. The game was end to end with Cillbreactain lucky enough to secure more scores and finish with a two point victory. Once again solid team play ensured battling hard was worth the success. Good performances once again from Andy McMenamin, John McLeigh, James Hanna and Caolan Savage. Excellent game boys –well done.

*  U-14’s drew with Dromara at another windy fixture on Monday night. The team fought hard throughout with good performances from Marc Burke, Conor Black, Conor Burke and John Burns. Malachy Laird pulled off a great save and Ross McLeigh put on a strong show winning breaking balls and carrying them forward. Well done everyone.
