UNITED had no cup or league fixture this weekend so they were able to get a friendly against Lambeg Rangers which ended in a 2 – 2 draw with goals from Ian Boal and James Kingscott.

They travelled to Dunmurry YM last night for a league game and entertain Donard Hospital in the league at Millbridge this Saturday.

The Swifts meanwhile were defeated 3 – 1 in a friendly last Wednesday by a strong Colin Valley side with Gareth Bingham getting the goal. The same player was on target against Maghera on Saturday with Sam Annett getting a hat trick and Ian McMullan the other in a thrilling 5 – 5 draw. Further games are arranged for this Wednesday against Drumaness Mills 2nds and on Saturday Belfast side Brentwood.

The Albion had a good 2 – 1 away win in a friendly at Dromore Amateurs but they were defeated by a strong Valley Rangers third team on Saturday past.

A new range of tracksuits are being purchased and if players and officials have not already ordered one they should see Johnny McGreevy or Steven Jess as soon as possible.
