THERE will be a Bryansford Juvenile parents meeting and registration on Sunday 12th February at 4pm in the hall.
It is important that all parents attend as there important issues this year to be discussed writes Benji Ward.

We urgently need any parents or former players who are willing to give their time in mentoring the juveniles specifically U10/12/14

You will be given relevant training and child protection and will be expected to apply to Access NI child protection.

Please come along to the meeting on the 12th February you will be made very welcome.

We need volunteers also in the committee and juvenile sub committee, so if there is anyone who would be willing to help out in the club, in fund raising events, umpires, linesmen or just helping around the park we would be very grateful.

We would love to host a few events throughout the year, a 5k fun race in Newcastle and a junior Bryansford’s got talent had been discussed last year, are examples, but we need people to help us get these events off the ground.

We want to involve families in the clubs activities; you tell us what you would enjoy. We want to reach out to the wider community in Newcastle and its surroundings in order to sustain our facilities and be a successful engine in keeping young people busy, involved in sport and off the streets.

Today's economic climate makes it difficult for everyone, and this also applies to the club. In order to be able to provide coaching, facilities and matches for all players we need help.

• The coaching of the coaches session with the county coaching officers is being re-arranged with Conor O'Toole and the date will be finalised shortly. This is open to all coaches and parents interested in helping out in a managerial or coaching capacity this incoming year.

• Club Merchandise can be ordered with Caitriona Rice

• Club sports hall can be booked with Kevin Leneghan or Francie McKibbin Snr.

• We still need helpers and sellers with the club Lotto and we would ask anyone able to give of their time to please contact any committee member on this vital part of club financing
•
• The Dinner Dance is scheduled for Sat 11th in the clubrooms Seamus Brannigan, Paul Keatings can be contacted for tickets.

• Congratulations to Marty and Donna on the birth of their baby girl.

• Good Luck to Assumption Grammar on Friday and Saturday of this week in both camogie and football and we hope the Bryansford contingent of Claren Owens, Mairead Kavanagh, Aimee O'Higgins can help the school teams to victory

• Finally the club committee would like to wish all our players and members good luck for the incoming year and hope that the success of the various teams continues into the near future and also to the various players who have progressed to the County teams including the Senior men and ladies and the Under 21's and also to the minor contingent who hopefully will do us proud
