Police Appeal After Ballynahinch Road Death

POLICE in Ballynahinch continue to appeal for information following the fatal road traffic collision at Windmill Street at approx 3.40pm on Tuesday 6th December. The collision which took place at the junction with High Street adjacent to the town square resulted in the tragic death of an elderly lady.
The vehicle involved was a blue Volvo HGV lorry with a brown container with "UCON" marked on the side.
Police are keen to hear from anyone in the area at this time who may have noticed the movements of the lorry and are especially keen to hear from the occupants of two vehicles which are believed to have been in front of the lorry at the traffic lights. Police would ask anyone with any information to contact them at Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000.
